ST. LOUIS, May 12, 2017 ―  The law firm of Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum, LLP announced that Franklin F. Wallis has joined the firm as a partner and that it has hired Peter J. LeBlanc, Jr. as an associate.  Both lawyers concentrate their practices in trust and estate planning and administration and tax and charitable planning.

Jeremy Shook, Chairman of the Firm’s Management Committee, said:  “Frank Wallis brings to our firm one of the premier estate planning practices in St. Louis, and we’re delighted he is joining us.”  Peter LeBlanc works closely with Frank Wallis and will support the estate planning practice at Shands Elbert.

Most recently at Reilly McLaughlin, LLC in Clayton, Frank Wallis was previously head of the private client group at Bryan Cave LLP.  He has more than 45 years’ experience in trust and estate planning, estate administration, and tax and charitable planning.

Peter LeBlanc is a 2008 graduate of St. Louis University School of Law with an LLM in tax law from Washington University in 2009.  He worked previously at Reilly McLaughlin LLC and the private client group of U.S. Bank’s trust company.

Wallis and LeBlanc join Brad Stevens, Fred Vilbig and Joe Giljum in the growing trusts and estates practice at Shands Elbert.  The firm, in business for more than 40 years, is also known for business litigation, labor and employment counseling and litigation, education law, professional liability defense, and corporate and real estate transactions.
